An afternoon at the UNIVERSAL CITY WALK

This wasn't the first time I was here at the Universal City Walk. The last time Lulu and I went here was 8 years ago and seeing it again I would think the place has definitely grown. Before we would just go straight to the theme park and on our way back... we would grab something to eat at the City Walk ...  but today was different...

I had more time to browse around, take down notes and photos of the place...

Universal City Walk or more popularly known as CITY WALK is like a cross between a shopping center and an amusement park without the rides.

It's bright, colorful, entertaining, with lots of shopping and lots of choices to eat. It serves as an extension of the Universal Studios Theme Park.

Ernie, Lulu and I decided to have dinner at Bubba Gump.....

We shared the DRUNKEN SHRIMP ( on Bourbon sauce )...which I thought was very good... especially the Andouille sausage which was very spicy...

and the SHRIMPER'S HAVEN.... it was really delicious... I loved the half-cooked shrimps. The sauces that went with the dish were Tangy Asian ( for the tempura shrimps ), The Cajun marmalade ( for the breaded coconut shrimps ) and the zesty cocktail sauce ( for the half-cooked shrimp).

It was indeed a beautiful day in Los Angeles and a lovely day to take a stroll around City Walk with a cup of coffee at the Starbucks coffee, check out the stores and grab something to eat outdoors, while a perfectly clear blue sky loomed above.

All wrapped up in one place is the amusement park, shopping, restaurants, nightclubs and movie theater. The Universal City Walk can be your daytime or evening source of entertainment. It is great for a date, a photo shoot or a place you can go alone if you feel like something to do or just do a little shopping.

The nice thing about the Universal City Walk is that you can take it all in or take some of it in.  You can walk down the streets which mimics the bright neon street signs of Hollywood in the 1950's and 1960's.

You can't beat really beat the surroundings for something different from the same old neighborhood.

It's colorful, it's relaxing, it's lively....
It is something you definitely you want to see and go to....
That's UNIVERSAL CITY WALK for you!!!
