BANOFFEE PIE... One of my favorite desserts!!!!!

This is one of my favorite desserts..... let me share with you the recipe of the Banoffee Pie.... It is so easy to make... want to try it? Really it doesn't matter whatever crust you use, it will be delicious! After all, it's the filling that really counts!

Ingredients:

* 1 ready - made graham cracker pie crust
* 3 ripe bananas
* 1 can sweetened condensed milk
* dark chocolate ( shaved  for topping )
* 300 ml cream

How to make Banoffee Pie:

For the dulce de leche: You can use 1 can of sweetened condensed milk ( if you would like an extra rich and delicious pie you can double this ).

How to make dulce de leche:

Place the can of condensed milk in a large pan and cover it completely with water. Bring the water to boil and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook the can , turning every so often, and adding more water to cover when needed, for about 2 hours. After 2 hours, turn off the heat, let the can of condensed milk cool in the water. When the can is cool enough to touch, remove it from the pan.

note: You can boil the can for 3 hours if you would like a darker dulce de leche.

Now open the can of condensed milk and it will look like a creamy brown caramel. Spread evenly and chill for an hour.

Stir the caramel in the can with a fork to eliminate any lumps.

Pour into your pie crust and let it cool.

Cut bananas into thin pieces and lay them on top of the filling.

Whip the cream and spread it over the bananas.

Dust cocoa powder and put some shaved dark chocolate on top.

Then place the pie back to the refirgerator until cold.

VOILA!!!   you have made yourself a yummy dessert... wasn't it so easy???

Enjoy your dessert!!!
